Catalytic selective oxidation of isobutane in a decoupled redox-process

نویسندگان

چکیده

The catalytic selective oxidation of isobutane to methacrolein (MAC) and methacrylic acid (MAA) is known proceed via a Mars-Van Krevelen mechanism. When the reaction performed in common reactor with co-feeding reactant oxygen, reactive oxygen species are present on catalyst surface whereby non-selective reactions occur. In this work, we studied possibility decouple redox mechanism meaning separate step re-oxidation for (IBAN) MAC MAA. For purpose, two configurations were employed: periodic two-zone fluidized bed (TZFBR). Whereas allows temporal separation steps, TZFBR enables spatial separation. A Cs-based Keggin type heteropolycompound was employed as characterized before after by XRD, Raman XPS better understand structural chemical changes during operation. effect oxygen/IBAN concentration performance studied. it found that conversion formation products decreased consumption available period. whole tests, low injected into reoxidation part cycles led high selectivity desired (MAC+MAA).

Structural Evolution under Reaction Conditions of Supported (NH4)3HPMo11VO40 Catalysts for the Selective Oxidation of Isobutane

When using heteropolycompounds in the selective oxidation of isobutane to methacrolein and methacrylic acid, both the keeping of the primary structure (Keggin units) and the presence of acidic sites are necessary to obtain the desired products. The structural evolution of supported (NH4)3HPMo11VO40 (APMV) catalysts under preliminary thermal oxidizing and reducing treatments was investigated. Va...
